Before you start I would like to share a short story for the title of my work which influenced me to create and communicate my visuals: Kinesis is coming from Greek kinēsis, from kinein to move; Change of the position of a body in space in relation to a fixed point and at a given moment in time. The beggining of creation and radical motion.
My name is Marilia Gavri, originally coming from Greece and as a professional detail-oriented designer, I create designs and illustrations, in motion and static, that are as vivid and alive as the scenes I picture in my mind. In a short amount of time, I’m able to transfer ideas into engaging and meaningful sketches and designs as well in exported videos. I love to edit movies and short ads creating storyboards and art direction in video content creation! With this piece, I knew the client I was collaborating with wanted something that would leave a lasting impression with the audience, and the end result did just that.

I was commissioned to work on this project and couldn’t have been happier to do so. Being graphic designer and illustrator in Positive magazine enabled me to use my knowledge and skills in different illustration techniques, to bring a piece to life which I’m extremely proud of.

I was excited to create illustrations to visualise biophysical systems, playing with colours and creating digital illustrations for a poster about the project: “From Nuclei to Artificial cells: Probing the Mechanics of Minimal Systems”, vol. 116:3(1), 123A, Biophysical Journal (2019).

LATAM AIRLINES - 2020
Video Editor
Video editing for Latam Airlines. Covid protection. This project was massive as I communicated with Videographers in the world in order to create content for the video. With Covid 19 restrictions was impossible to travel. We were all very happy with the result of the edit.

Uqonic Chefs is a brand we created within gategroup company for high premium food delivery from Michelin Star Chefs around the world. I am responsible for the video content creation with original storytelling. Creation for Media Ads, Paid advertising ( google ) and short movies with documentary style. if you go to the platform you can also find the how it works video per country as well as the instructions.

MY NAME IS FRANK
It is a 3d animation short film about a grotesque character who lives alone with his concerns and fears.
Frank is a jittery and bizarre character, who loves to stay at his house watching films and listen to music while cooking. Lately, however, his paranoia levels are raising as many devices in his kitchen start to break. His brain creates realistic illusions while he freaks out over noises from the fridge, tv and lights.
Give him some time, he is lovely and eerie!
